Job Summary:
Interns will cross-train and move to various production areas as needed and learn key areas of the manufacturing process. Will work with Sukup team members to maximize productivity and efficiency in the manufacturing setting. Able to gain hands-on experience and work closely with experienced professionals in the field with the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Ability to learn different manufacturing processes
- Review and Revise Planned Maintenance Documentation
- Inventory Count Audits
- Review and Revise Shop Floor Standard Operating Procedures
- Convert paper-based lists to Electronic Formats
- Conduct Time Studies for Manufacturing Processes
- Ability to effectively work in teams and individually
- Standing and walking constantly throughout the day
- Climbing, stooping, and crouching very seldom throughout the day
- Handling equipment and having both hands available
- Rarely required to lift over 25 pounds but frequently required to lift and push up to 10
pounds - Use of personal protective equipment is required
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn how to use software to view and input data for
shop order updates.
Qualifications and Experience:
Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, Industrial Technology, or other
related degree. Overtime hours may be required. Some pre-employment requirements needed.
Standing, bending, pushing and pulling are required. Individual must follow all company and safety
rules and policies.
